Abstract:To study the polyphenol accumulation and its antioxidant ability in different organs during different growth period in Lilium lancifolium, we employed a group of methods, including Foling Shoka method, NaNO2-AlCl3, vanillin colorimetric method and pH differential method have determined the polyphenol, flavonoids, flavonols, chromosides in different organs at different growing stage. The antioxidant capacity of total polyphenol extracts were analyzed by DPPH method, copper ion reduction method, metal chelating ability and inhibiting lipid peroxidation activity. The results showed that the content and antioxidant ability of polyphenols in various organs of L. lancifolium were different (P<0.05). In the flowering period, the total polyphenol content was at the peak, followed by the semi-dry season, with the lowest content in the total dry season. During flowering, the total phenolicl content reached 14.75 mg/g, and the leaf is 12.19 mg/g, and the lowest bud is only 3.12 mg/g. The antioxidant capacity of polyphenol extract was the largest in flowering period, followed by half-dry period. The correlation analysis showed that there was a significant or very significant positive or negative correlation between the polyphenols and their antioxidant activities in the studied organs and periods, with the correlation coefficient between –1.00 and 1.00. The results can provide the basis for high quality cultivation, timely harvest and reasonable utilization of L. lancifolium.
