Abstract:In order to study the comprehensive qualities of flue-cured tobacco from 4 soil types(paddy soil, sandy loam, red loam and purple soil) in Fuxian Lake basin, soil samples and tobacco leaves were tested, analyzed and evaluated. The results showed that pH values of 4 different soil types were 6.16-6.73 and the contents of available phosphorus and available potassium were high, which were 19.03-64.48 mg/kg and 111.09-397.89 mg/kg respectively. The content of alkaline hydrolytic nitrogen of paddy soil was 118.02 mg/kg, which was suitable. The content of alkaline hydrolytic nitrogen of the other 3 soil types were 51.68-59.66 mg/kg, which were low. The content of organic matter of sandy loam soil was 4.14 g/kg, which was low. The content of organic matter of the other 3 soil types were 17.44-21.06 g/kg, which were suitable. The appearance quality of tobacco leaves in red loam was the best in all soil types. The appearance quality of tobacco leaves in red loam was the best in all soil types, the scores of upper, middle and lower tobacco leaves were 81.25, 83.5 and 74.75 respectively; and scores of that in sandy loam were the lowest. Chemical components of tobacco leaves in 4 soil types all accorded with the standard range of high-quality tobacco leaves, and coordination of chemical components of tobacco leaves in all soil types were good. Sensory evaluation of tobacco leaves in red loam was the best in all soil types, the scores of sensory evaluation of upper, middle and lower tobacco leaves were 83, 84 and 81 respectively, and scores of that in sandy loam were the lowest, which were 80.0, 81.0 and 77.5 respectively, for upper, middle and lower tobacco leaves. Comprehensive quality of flue-cured tobacco in red loam is the best, followed by that in purple soil and in paddy soil, and in sandy loam is the worst.
