Abstract:In order to explore the effect of nitrogen application depth on the growth and yield composition and the quality of direct seeding cotton after rape harvest, The cotton, Xiang K25 were applied with 4 groups of nitrogen application depths (0 cm, 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm) under the same nitrogen amount application. The results showed that the nitrogen application depth had a significant effect on cotton yield and had no significant effect on fiber quality. With the nitrogen application depth, 10 cm, the cotton lint yield is at peak, 1 354.26 kg/hm2, higher than the 412.24 kg/hm2, 218.6 kg/hm2 and 171.3 kg/hm2 with the depth 0 cm, 5 cm and 15 cm respectively; the dry matter accumulation in the boll opening stage was the largest; the leaf area index in the bolling stage was the second in each treatment; At the canopy of the bolling stage, the transverse and longitudinal photosynthetically active radiation(PAR) interception rate was at reasonable level, and the obtained PAR was higher than other stage. In summary, with the nitrogen application depth, 10 cm, the yield and fiber quality of direct seeding cotton after rape harvest were better.
