Abstract:Based on discrete element method and EDEM software, the discrete element model of double hole-wheel seedmeter for rapeseed was established to analysis the population disturbance intensity at different rotating speeds. The effects of rotating speed and the hole row number on the performance of the hole-wheel seedmeter for rapeseed. When the rotating speed is 40-90 r/min, the variation coefficient of seeding uniformity is 42.75%-54.17% with the first row hole, and 38.46%-44.1% with the second row hole. When the seedmeter works simultaneously with the both row holes, the variation coefficient of seeding uniformity can be effectively reduced to 28.2%-40.1%. The limit rotating speed of seeding is 60 r/min. Under the rotating speed of 0-60 r/min, the seeding quantity changes linearly dependent on the rotating speed. When the rotating speed is over 60 r/min, the seeding quantity was relatively decreased.
