Abstract:The resistance of 22 new maize hybrid combinations to Fusarium graminearum stalk rot was determined by electric drilling method. The results showed that 6 combinations showed resistance grade 1 and 15 combinations showed resistance grade 2, while 1 combination showed susceptibility. After inoculation with Fusarium graminearum, the ear and grain weight decreased in most combinations, and the bald tip length increased and the number of grains per row decreased in some combinations, but seed yield, ear length and ear row number were less effected. The disease resistance compensation ability of the two maize combinations was strong, the ear weight and grain weight of 2 × 372 combination uninoculated were 186.8 g and 165.5 g respectively, which were decreased in inoculated 2 × 372 combination by 8.7 g and 8 g, respectively. The average ear weight and grain weight of 15H037 × 1090 combination inoculated were 172.9 g and 153.7 g, respectively, which were respectively 12.3 g and 9.3 g higher than that of uninoculated 15H037 × 1090 combination. The results showed that the yield level in inoculation and non-inoculation treatment of the above two maize combinations were higher than that of Zhengdan 958, showing high application value of the two maize combinations.
