Abstract:To explore the correlation between fruit mineral element contents and fruit quality of bingtang sweet orange in Yunnan province of china. Nine nutrient elements in fruit and the quality of bingtang sweet orange were investigated in 15 different orchards in Yunnan province. The results showed that the fruit N, K, Ca, Mg and Zn levels differed sharply from different orchards. The fruit Ca, Mg and Zn levels of high yield orchard were maximum and they had significant difference between middle–low yield orchard and young orchard. The fruit N and K levels of young orchard were maximum and they had significant difference between high yield orchard and middle–low yield orchard. The correlation coefficient between the fruit mineral element contents and fruit quality showed that the fruit N element content had a significantly positive correlation with the fruit weight, longitudinal diameter, transverse diameter and titratable acid (TA). And it had a significantly negative correlation with edible rate, fruit total soluble solid (TSS) content and TSS/TA?ratio. The fruit P element content had a significantly positive correlation with titratable acid (TA). And it had a significantly negative correlation with the fruit edible rate, total soluble solid (TSS) content and TSS/TA?ratio. The fruit K element content had a significantly positive correlation with the fruit titratable acid (TA). And it had a significantly negative correlation with the fruit total soluble solid (TSS) content and TSS/TA?ratio. The fruit Ca element content had a significantly positive correlation with the fruit total soluble solid (TSS) content and TSS/TA?ratio. And it had a significantly negative correlation with the fruit titratable acid (TA). The fruit Mg element content had a significantly positive correlation with the fruit TSS/TA?ratio and it had a significantly negative correlation with the fruit titratable acid (TA). The fruit Zn element content had a significantly positive correlation with the fruit edible rate, fruit total soluble solid (TSS) content and TSS/TA?ratio. And it had a significantly negative correlation with the fruit titratable acid (TA). The fruit Cu element content had a significantly negative correlation with edible rate. Furthermore, the fruit quality and yield of bingtang sweet orange were regulated by the synergistic effects of various mineral elements. For the fertilizer practices of bingtang sweet orange in Yunnan province, it should be focused on supplementing Ca, Mg and Zn, decreasing in N, P and K applications.
