Abstract:In order to explore the key factors and technique affecting structure characteristic of ecological engineering for Chinese giant salamander breeding in Zhangjiajie city, ten ecological breeding farms were investigated in field, as well as the structural parameters of their ecological pool and water quality. Principal component analysis was used to pick out the main factors in the ecological engineering breeding. The results showed that water depth, substrate of breeding pool, bank gradient, vegetation type, coverage and human interference were the main structural parameters of artificial stream; Cave area, width and hight of cave entrance, depth of water and substrate composition were the main structural parameters of cave, and turbidity, total hardness, pH value, sulfide, dissolved oxygen, total nitrogen, total phosphor and chemical oxygen demand were the main factors of water quality index. The parent specifications of Chinese giant salamander were relatively large to an average age of 8.4±3.6, and the average reproductive rate was 64.9±52.6. The ambiguousness of sex discrimination and low hatching rate were the major problem in the ecological engineering breeding.
