Eighteen strains of endophytic bacteria were isolated from tomato plants, and 2 of them had stronger antagonistic effect on tomato bacterial wilt pathogens (Ralstonia solanacearum). Among them, strain QGJ–6 has maximal inhibition zone diameter (20.2 mm) and the potted biocontrol efficacy was 82.4%. The resistance of strain QGJ–6 to streptomycin sulfate was gradually induced. Andstrain QGJ–6 with the streptomycin sulfate label can colonize in the root, stem and leaf of tomato using the method of filling-root injection. The endophytic bacteria strain QGJ–6 was identified as Brevibacillus brevis based on the morphological characteristics, physiological and biochemical characteristics and 16S rDNA sequence analysis.
