Abstract:Based on the 441 leaf samples of flue-cured tobacco in Sichuan inventory from 2009 to 2011, the main controlling factors affecting the contents of tobacco chemical components was analyzed by using dummy variables as qualitative variables for regions and parts combined with GLM model. The results showed that for the inventory of Sichuan tobacco, the average contents of total sugar, reducing sugar, nicotine, chlorine, potassium, total nitrogen were 23.91%, 21.50%, 2.44%, 0.35%, 2.01% and 2.14%, respectively. The content of each chemical composition was significantly affected by area, year, location and varietal differences. Location was the main controlling factor affecting the content of total sugar, nicotine, potassium and total nitrogen, which could explain 24.52%, 56.13%, 20.93% and 37.84% of the variability respectively; . Area was the main controlling factors of reducing sugars and chlorine, explaining 24.10% and 25.88% of the variability respectively. Year was also one of the main factors influencing the differences in potassium and total nitrogen, which could explain 20.22%, 19.83% of the variability respectively.
