Abstract:In this paper, a total of 144 species of stink bugs belonging to 113 genera in 18 families from Maoershan Nature Reserve are reported, of which 17 species are newly recorded in Guangxi. Analyses of generic and species components suggest that Reduvidae, Coreidae, Pentatomidae, Miridae and Lygaeidae are the dominant groups of stink bugs in Maoershan, forming the majority of the stink bug fauna of the reserve. However, there is no significant difference among the numbers of genus and species, indicating there are plenty of stink bug species to be found in Maoershan. Faunistic analysis shows that the stink bug fauna of Maoershan has oriental species and oriental- palaearctic species as its principal part at the level of world zoogeographical regions, with typical oriental feature and close relationship to palaearctic fauna; the stink bug fauna of Maoershan has a closest relationship to South China fauna at the level of Chinese zoogeographical regions.
