Abstract:113 exotic sugarcane germplasm consisted of Q,Vmc,FR and RB were investigated in this study. 13 agronomic and quality traits such as germination, tillering, Ratoon germination, stalk height, stem diameter, number of millable stalk, stalk weight, cane yield, brix, sugar content, simple purity, fiber content and sugar yield were researched by principal component analysis and cluster analysis. The result of principal component analysis on 13 traits indicated that 5 principal element were attained, all of which provided 75.16% cumulative variance. Based on the principal component scores, 113 sugarcane germplasm were grouped into 7 clusters. Cluster Ⅰ was higher in fiber content, lower on the yield. Cluster Ⅱ were weak in germination and tillering, lower in yield. Cluster Ⅲ was strong in Ratoon germination, higher in cane yield and sugar yield. Cluster Ⅳ could be used as parents for energy cane breeding. Cluster Ⅴ had higher cane yield, lower sugar content and fewer sugar yield. Cluster Ⅵ was higher in sugar content, but cane yield and sugar yield were fewer. Cluster Ⅶ had normal cane yield, higher sugar content and sugar yield.
