The pest species and the honeysuckle damage by the pests in the Anhui province were investigated from 2008 to 2010. Fifty-eight kinds of pests, mainly Heterolocha jinyinhuaphaga Chu, Tongeia filicaudis (Pryer, 1877), Aulacophora lewisii Baly, Semiaphis heraclei(Takahashi), Amphicercidus sinilonicericola Zhang and Arge similis (Vollenhoven), which belong to 35 families within 9 orders were found. Control methods including strengthening the planting management of honeysuckle and the quarantine for species introduction, selecting anti-insect breed, establishing no-pest nursery, making pest predictions, protecting and utilizing natural enemies and screening of pesticide with low toxicity and no nuisance are proposed.
