Abstract:To study the changing characteristics of Chlorophyll SPAD value in leaves during their developments and the difference of agronomic traits and economic traits in different Flue-cured tobacco cultivars, the field experiment was tested to investigate chlorophyll content in leaves of flue-cured tobacco with four cultivars (K326, HD, NC82, Liaoyan13) by SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter, periodically. The results showed that the changing characteristics of both Chlorophyll SPAD value and relative variance rate were not only involved in the cultivars, but also in the leaf positions. The different cultivars affected the tobacco agronomic traits, such as the plant height and the stem circle (P<0.05), and affected the tobacco economic traits ,such as the yield , production value, average price and the proportion of upper grade leaves(P<0.01).
