The pig's erythrocytes dealed with а-galactosidase enzymes were transfused into dogs. The clinical indexes of dog were observed before and after transfusion, and the blood and urine indicators were tested. Then the second transfusion was done after dog's urine and blood indicators are returned to normal, to explore the possibility of heterologous transfusion. The results show that the two times’ blood transfusion did not cause abnormal clinical reaction. The results suggest it is possible that pig’s red blood cell could be transfused to dogs.
