Taoyuandaye tea was cultivated by systematic breeding method from the local group in Taoyuan county of Hunan province. Taoyuan has a considerable advantage of the tea industry through the promotion and planting of Taoyuandaye tea,and the income from tea becomes the main source of local tea farmers' income. At present, the planting area of Taoyuandaye tea accounts for 31.7% of the total picking tea area, the tea output accounted for more than 50% of GDP, and the numbers are increasing year by year. Expanding production of Taoyuandaye tea,several technical issues should be solved: First, improving traits such as coarse leaf and too high content of tea polyphenol through cultivation measures to make them more suitable to produce high-quality green tea; Second, raising aroma by processing technology research and innovation；Third,regulating the peak picking and enhancing the ability of stable production through varieties proportion in tea planting and cultivation.
